Inner landscapes of freedom

In this vast nature we find ourselves part of, the inner landscape is able to retain the sense of freedom that so many elsewhere have been deprived of during COVID-19. Lena from Germany stares in the direction of her current home in Skulsfjord, Troms. Waves tumble in the background, reindeer gallop over the beach, a varde marks the top of the hill. Entering the cold and massive body of the sea, we are connected through the water to all those things absent - homes at distant shores; that which looms over the horizon - and simultaneously washed into immediate presence. Gratitude and reflection shimmer as a silver lining, while the clouds roll onto each other in anticipation, and worries for loved ones whisper softly in the breeze.
